My friends love asking me for fashion advice, and I always take their wardrobe problems seriously. Recently, one of my friends in Madrid, said she wanted to upgrade her wardrobe with some standout pieces for going out. Her budget was 200 EUR, but since she already spent about 100 EUR, I had only 100 EUR left to work with. Challenge accepted!

She likes classic pieces with bohemian vibes, so I needed to find clothes that matched her style and worked with her existing clothes. Thankfully, her closet is small and full of basics that mix and match easily. Plus, she has a great figure that makes everything look good!

Here’s what she already had: an A-line faux leather skirt, skinny black jeans, sneakers, and black boots. My task? Find four new pieces within the budget and create five outfits for different occasions.

Curious about the results? Check out the five mood boards featuring the new finds mixed with her old favorites.

The great thing about these pieces is that they won’t go out of style—they’re a bit artsy and bohemian, with timeless patterns and shapes. Plus, if you have classic bottoms like black skinny jeans or an A-line skirt, they pair easily with so many tops. A good blazer is also a must-have; bottle green is one of my favorite colors for this.

What’s your biggest challenge when it comes to putting together an effortless outfit?
